Celebrate, recognize, and appreciate first-gen students

Come join us as we celebrate our IU Indianapolis first-gen family! 

While there's always reason to celebrate our first-generation students, faculty, and staff at IU Indianapolis, we dedicate a special day each fall to celebrate our amazing first-gen Jags because you deserve it! 

This year we will be hosting an in-person celebration, and we are very excited to meet all of our wonderful first-gen Jags in person!

This year's First Generation Celebration will be held on November 3, 2026 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Taylor Hall.
